Camporee Rules
- Obey the Scout Oath and Law. Show Scout Spirit and have FUN!
- Park only in the designated lots. You will be directed to a designated lot at check-in. Vehicles are not allowed to be parked at camp sites. Once a vehicle is parked, PLEASE do not move it. Vehicles will not be allowed to drive through the property until check out on Sunday. If you have a special needs Scout, or have a need to check out on Saturday, please discuss transportation needs with the Staff Member at check-in.
- Do not enter another Unit’s camp site without permission.
- All fires must be contained in existing campfire circles. The only exceptions are for cooking fires (such as charcoal) which must be in above ground portable grills and the campfire planned by the Camporee Committee on Saturday night.
- Toilets: Improper use or damage will result in being asked to leave the Camporee. The BSA is responsible for them. Please keep them clean and obey the male/female designations.
- Unit Leaders and Senior Patrol Leaders must attend the Friday night Cracker Barrel. This is an informational meeting. Any changes in events or times will be made at this time. Delicious and free food will be provided.
- Attendance at all Camporee gatherings (flag raising/lowering, Sunday worship service, etc.) is required. Exceptions from flag ceremonies will be made for patrol cooks and adults.
- Please keep Camp Durant clean and neat. Put litter in its proper place. Leave your camp site in better condition than you found it. Camp site inspections will occur before check out, and patches will be awarded after check out.
- FIREARMS, DRUGS, ALCOHOL, PETS and ELECTRONICS ARE PROHIBITED – NO EXCEPTIONS.
- All units will need to have their camp site inspected before check out. If your unit plans to leave before Sunday, please notify staff at the Friday night Cracker Barrel. There will be no check out during the Sunday worship service.
- A minimum of two adult leaders is required for each unit’s camp site.
- OFF LIMITS AREAS: The following areas will be off limits and will not be used by Scouts, Scouters or their families.
- Ropes Course - Climbing Wall - Teams Challenge Course - Campfire/Stage Area (except during official gatherings and Sunday worship service)
- Rule Violations: Penalties for any rule violations will be discussed and appropriately decided by the Executive Committee and the Individual’s Scoutmaster. This could include elimination of a unit from competition.
