Entries for April 2010

I've been made aware of some confusion with MB scheduling.  All instuction including the first year scout program and ALL MB sessions will happen in the morning before lunch.  We'll hold the Kondike Derby after lunch so young scouts can be trained in the am and compete with their new skills in the pm.  Cub Scout games and crafts, Webelos Challenge, shooting sports, climbing tower, service project, geo caching, and the friendship game, will be happening throughout the day.  To avoid congestion at certain activities, we'll ask units to sign up for participation at the above activities and events during cracker barrel.  For example, your troop will be asked to choose which hour they would like to shoot shotguns and which hour they would like to try the climbing tower.  Hopefully that will spread folks throughout the camp and not everyone will try to shoot .22 rifles durng the same time slot.  The schedule will be somewhat loose in that they could show up for a particular event anytime during that hour.
