Spring Camporee - April 8-10

The Leader's Guide has been posted to the Camporee page

Just a reminder that your current tower and COPE certifications will expire at the end of this year. The next course will be the first weekend in April and October. Registration information can be found on the council website.

Dave Pederson

Neuse River District Cub Scout Leaders,

I am here to tell you that the BB and Archery Programs for this year's Camporee are close to being canceled.  We did not get any volunteers to come to the Range Certification training a couple of weeks ago.  As of right now, we have zero volunteers to staff the archery and BB ranges.

The BB and Archery Program is the highlight event for Cub Scouts and I would hate for them to have the disappointment when they find out that they will not have the chance to shoot BBs or Arrows at Camporee.

There is one FINAL opportunity to get the Range Certification THIS SATURDAY AT CAMP DURANT (Feb. 26).  It will start at 10:00AM in the Admin Building.  You Must Respond to Gary Wise prior to Saturday at lakemyra@gmail.com  to let him know who is coming.  ANYONE can come do this 3 hour training, you do not have to be a registered leader.  Please do not assume that someone else will step up to do this...

Regards,
Todd Goldfarb
Camporee Chief
