Lodge Leadership Development a Success

Over 100 scouts descended on Campbell University Saturday to learn more about the Order of the Arrow and ways to improve their personal leadership abilities.   Classes were held on a variety of topics, including goal setting, event planning, leadership styles and methods, financial accounting and some basic information on OA ceremonies.   Four of the Neuse River (Neusiok) Chapter officers, along with a small group of scouts from Troop 347.  The day was capped off with a short presentation by Congressman Bob Etherage who emphasized the importance of a good education.

During the evening, the Occoneechee Lodge Executive Committee reviewed their plans for the coming year and approved several motions, including one to support the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in June in 2011.
